Düsseldorf/Shanghai, 10.05.2010 - NRW.INVEST is now marketing the 205-hectare industrial and commercial zone PrimeSite Rhine Region in China. For the first time, the state-owned location agency is presenting the large site during "transport logistic China" at the joint stand of the logistics region Cologne/Bonn. The international exhibition for logistics, telematics and transport is taking place from 8-10 June 2010 in Shanghai. On those three days, more than 11,000 visitors are expected, including numerous international corporations that come to the trade fair to gather information about potential markets and new trends.
International corporations planning to make major investments have clearly defined requirements when searching for a suitable location. Besides factors such as sufficient labor market potential and access to universities and qualified employees, major investors usually need areas of at least 50 hectares. Connections to electricity and gas supply, waster water disposal, as well as rail and road links to the next federal freeway should already exist or be available at short notice. In order to attract major investors to the location, North Rhine-Westphalia already began some time ago to designate and develop areas for large-scale investments. One of the first choice cuts is the PrimeSite Rhine Region.
"Many Chinese companies are pressing on to the European market. With the PrimeSite Rhine Region we can offer these corporations a first-class, large area which meets all their requirements", says Anja Kühlkamp, Divisional Head at NRW.INVEST.
Interested parties can obtain an overview of the merits and qualities of the large site during the trade fair. Further information about the PrimeSite Rhine Region is also provided at http://www.primesite.org/cn.

The PrimeSite Rhine Region
The PrimeSite Rhine Region is a well developed area situated in the city triangle formed by Cologne, Bonn and Aachen at the heart of the core economic region of western Europe. 205 hectares in the middle of the densely populated Rhine Region promise an investment with a future. The site is reserved exclusively by the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia for space-intensive, large-scale projects requiring more than 80 hectares. The links to a highly efficient infrastructure and connections to all necessary supply and waste disposal networks are already in place. Further development and installations will take place in accordance with the investor's individual requirements.
